Taylor High School, established in 1852, being one of the earliest & oldest schools in the Narasapur region has contributed enormously over the years. The school offers education from 1st to 10th class in Telugu and English Medium and is intent on becoming a model School of The Future, using a digital technology driven model for teaching and self learning and by fostering 3600 development of children. Talking about the town, Narsapur (or Narasapuram) is a town in the West Godavari district of the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh. It is a municipality and mandal headquarters of Narasapuram mandal in Narasapuram revenue division. The town is situated on the banks of the Vashishta Godavari, one the distributaries of the mighty river Godavari that joins the Bay of Bengal sea at Antarvedi near Narasapur. The lace industry is prevalent in the city and its surroundings. The town has a train station and can be easily reached by both road and train. The existence of the town of Narsapur, on the cost of Andhra Pradesh, can be traced back to 1173 AD. The Dutch people landed in Narsapur in 1626 and the legacy of the Dutch is still seen from the school and college buildings in town. Narsapur was used as a port by the Dutch during the 17th century. Portuguese also established their presence with a factory around the period. Narsapur became an important trading port during the 18th century and came under complete British control by early 1820s.
